Can you help us help them?
Years ago, Commercial Union ran a TV campaign called: we won’t make a drama out of a crisis. The ads made the point brilliantly that their insurance policies wouldn’t make things worse if bad things happened. For the majority of SMEs bad things have happened, and the crisis couldn’t be more dramatic. This uncertainty won’t last forever, but ‘back to normal’ is a long way off. We’re all searching for new ideas, new directions, anything that will help keep the business going but, even with Government funding, the BBC reports today that between 800,000 and a million businesses may close as cash dries up.
My colleagues and I at Dart Design want to help where we can. There are business owners out there who don’t have an online presence, so it will be impossible for them to keep in touch with their customer base and prospects. We can set them up with the basics, like a short website or messaging to use on social media platforms, and they’ll be better equipped to weather the next few months. It won’t cost them a penny (unless they need a domain name and hosting of course), so if you know someone who would benefit from this support, please could you ask them to get in touch? Our goal is to help as many SMEs as we can ride out this crisis.
